Precious new arrival: Emilia

On Tuesday (23.08.) Franzi felt contractions in the morning. So I stayed home and we went for a walk because the contractions weren't very strong yet. 4 pm we drove to the hospital - but we were too early. The contractions were too little and they sent us back home to return in a couple hours. The contractions became stronger and stronger. We were watching some episodes of "Suits" and Franzi tried to ignore the pain. Half past 1 in the night (24.08.), we visited the hospital again. Still a bit too early. But we were allowed to stay. It took a couple hours, then at 9:00 am Emilia was born and shouted for the first time. We were super happy. Emilia weighed 3,135 g and was 49 cm tall. Franzi was exhausted. We were lucky to get a family room that was only for us and I could stay over night there too. We were watching her all the time and got to know her and how to handle her. The next day  (25.08.) her aunt Jenny visited. Another two days later we left the hospital and Emilia was now staying in our home. At that day also her grandparents visited. We learned to handle Emilia and Emilia received many presents.
