New Year's Eve in Prague

December 29th we drove to Prague to celebrate New Year's Eve with our friends. On the way we stopped for a break at Dona and walked to castle Weesenstein. Then we continued to Prague where we stayed at an awesome 120sqm AirBnB overlooking Prague. The location was great for our four young families. The spacious kitchen and living room area was ideal for our children to play. Unfortunately, Benni and Anja's car malfunctioned on the way and it took until late evening until all of us were together in the apartment. Every evening one family cooked for all the others.
The next day (30.12.) we visited Prague's city center and christmas market after a relaxing breakfast. It was freezing cold and we warmed up with a hot coffee/chocolate at Tricafe. At the evening we played games.
On New Year's Eve, we met Frank and Lisa at Karl's Bridge, walked to the castle and back to the city center. Back at the apartment, we made raclette for dinner and had some drinks. After some first small fireworks the kids went to bed and the parents got drunk. When I wanted to fire my first new year rocket, it landed in the middle of a hooligan group. While I already imagined myself to go wake up at the hospital later, the Czech hooligans were surprisingly calm. Probably because our fireworks sounded like kid's while their's sounded like actual explosions.
At New Year, Franzi and I visited fort Vyšehrad overlooking the Moldau and Prague City. Later at the evening we played a super long game of Siedler.
The next day (02.01.) we drove back to Germany and we stopped for a break at Königstein and took a walk around the castle.
